Preparing your own income tax return can be a task that leaves you with more questions than answers. According to a study released by the US Government's General Accounting Office last year, most taxpayers believe they benefited from using a professional tax preparer.

Whether we like it or not, today's tax laws are so complicated that filing a relatively simple return can be confusing. It is just too easy to overlook deductions and credits to which you are entitled. Some of these can make a difference of thousands of dollars.  A do-it-yourself computer software program is no substitute for the assistance of an experienced tax professional.

We prepare all types of income tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, LLC's, trusts, estates and not-for-profit organizations.

Here's what you get...

  • You decide whether to meet with one of our tax experts in person, by email, or by phone, or simply drop off your tax documents at our office.  We receive tax info by mail, at the door, and online via our secure client portal.

  • We take the time to analyze your information. We may ask you for additional information in our quest for a complete and accurate return, with every legal deduction and credit to which you are entitled.  We treat your tax return as if it were our own.
  • Your tax return will be checked and rechecked by our computer software to help identify any potential problems the IRS might look at more closely.  Our professional tax software helps us ensure there will be no math errors which could lead to further scrutiny by the IRS.
  • in most cases, your tax returns will be filed electronically. We recommend e-filing for every return, particularly the very complex ones.  This seamless transfer of your tax data from our computer to the federal and state tax departments cuts out the middle man.  No further re-keying of data is needed, so one more chance for errors is eliminated.
  • If you have a refund, e-filing plus direct deposit will generally put the federal refund into your bank account within 8 to 15 days from the date of filing.  State refunds will vary, but are often received within this time frame, also.
  • If you owe, you can choose to pay the balance due to the IRS at any time, up to April 15th. We can set up a direct debit from your bank account on any date you select, at the time of filing.  Or, we will give you a payment coupon so you can mail your check to the government on the very last day of the deadline.  It's always your choice!
  • Do you get a huge refund?  Our staff can show you how to adjust your payroll withholding to get more money back each week. Why give the IRS an interest-free loan for up to 16 months?
  • We will help you identify potential deductions and credits on this tax return. In addition, we will be happy to provide you a sheet of commonly overlooked deductions to limit next year's tax liability.
