Experience
Jean Ballinger, the owner, has been a Certified Public Accountant for more than 21 years. Jean established this firm in 1997, after gaining invaluable experience by working for another CPA firm for nine years. Jean worked in the trust departments of two different banks prior to going into public accounting, serving as an Assistant Trust Officer in one of the banks.
After years of performing audits and working in a wide variety of client settings, she has experience in multiple areas of tax, accounting, and business operations. Jean holds a Bachelor of Business degree from Western Illinois University, graduating Summa Cum Laude. She also received a special award from the school's Department of Accountancy, as an "Outstanding Accounting Scholar."
Herbert Price, staff accountant, has prepared tax returns for many years. He left the public accounting field to work in industry, and recently returned to help out during tax season. This will be his third tax season at our offices. His insight, wisdom and sense of humor are highly appreciated. Herbert received his Bachelor's degree in Accounting from University of Northern Iowa.
Kathy Crow, secretary, comes from an outstanding career in supportive services. She enables us to efficiently manage our work flow, while helping us to maintain our quality control. Her attention to even the smallest details helps to ensure accuracy and precision. Kathy will schedule your appointments and greet you at the door.
